Koh-I-Noor Mechanical Pencil - 5217 Red - 2.0mm Red Lead
Founded in Vienna in 1790, Koh-I-Noor is one of the oldest and foremost names in art supplies and stationery items. Named after the famous Indian diamond, Koh-I-Noor patented the first pencil lead, created from graphite and clay. In the years to come Koh-I-Noor would set the standard for pencil manufacturing, their range winning awards at world exhibitions in London, Vienna, New York, Milan and Paris.
The 5217 Red Mechanical Pencil is a clutch pencil with metal jaws that 'clutch' a sliding piece of lead. It comes fitted with one 2.00mm piece of HB graphite lead - a really wonderful lead to write with as it is firm and does not easily wear down. The 5217 pencil comes boxed and is also available in six great colours.
The lead is retracted or extended using a push button on the end of the wooden barrel. Underneath this push button is a handy sharpening blade to keep your point sharp and precise. Not only is this convenient, it is strangely satisfying to use.
